Martial Arts Training In Snow
MMA training exercises designed to improve a person's skills in mixed martial arts involve the weather are usually referred to as weatherized training. There are many trainees who feel too lazy to start the day due to the time and weather but don't be like them so regardless of the environment you find yourself in take advantage of it. Cardio workouts and training can be effectively done when there is snow or when it's raining, snow training is becoming more and more popular because it is an excellent tool to improve the fighting skills in the MMA.
Hitting a drop of rain or snowflake requires a lot of speed and precise timing, but by educating yourself the basics of boxing, kickboxing, and MMA, you will greatly improve.
A very good exercise when it's snowing lightly, is to throw your fists at snowflakes and to hit as many as possible you can utilize uppercut moves, hook, cross, or jab. This makes for a wonderful cardio workout but just make sure that you don't do Thai kicks because you'll fall over since the ground is slippery so you might fall over if you do push and house kicks. Make sure that you don't get injured because by doing round kicks, will probably sheer your knees. When you execute the move against the air without actually hitting someone, you retract the force and thus your knees can get injured.
Other than uppercut, hook, cross, and jab, you can also opt for overhand movements eye pokes, back fist, and anything else done above the body but don't do eye jabs. You can use your knees to do battle with the snowflakes but stay away from jumping knees or skip knees. This is how you can do this routine:
Being a beginner you should execute the snow training over about ten minutes and start off by attacking for one minute then take the next minute off. If you are an intermediate then you can exercise for two minutes and then rest for thirty minutes. After finishing the ten minutes snow training, then you should perform fifteen push ups in addition to fifteen squats. Advanced players can do the exercise for three minutes on and then a fifteen minute rest. After ten minutes allotted time for hitting or punching snowflakes, you should perform thirty push ups and squats both divided into three sets.
If you're looking for intense training this is an excellent workout for you and even though it seems easy at first, you'll see that it's harder than you imagine. It's a lot different in real life however, from reading these instructions since the snowflakes won't wait for you to as they'll soon move onto other things, and gravity will pull them to the ground so it's imperative that you hit them in the air.
Many fighters in the MMA do snow training because it really helps improve your speed and timing and when you fight for real you'll require such skills to perform your techniques properly. Then of course, don't forget to learn about the different fighting techniques and styles to go with them so go out and find a good instructor and learn as many techniques as you can. It's not as easy to do mixed martial arts and if you find the training is hard you will find it much tougher throughout the genuine matches.
